The Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival started on January 14th and will continue to run till February 14th. There’s nothing better than sitting by a window with a warm cup of hot chocolate in hand to warm you up on a cold, gloomy day in Vancouver. As a company that does window washing for cafés and restaurants, we are excited about the festival, as more people are able to appreciate our work. We like to think customers appreciate looking out of clean windows when enjoying their drinks and meals. It sets the mood for the restaurant.
Being in the cleaning industry for over 17 years, our cleaning crew experts have noticed that highly rated cafés and restaurants typically score highly on the cleanliness ranking too. You know cafés put a lot of thought and care into hot chocolate fest flavours when they care about their new and returning customers and want to make a good impression.
Here are three cafés participating in the hot chocolate fest 2023 with interesting flavours. They must have had window washing services done before the hot chocolate fest in anticipation of the many food Instagrammers wanting to try this year’s flavours.
BjornBar Bakery
This bakery has 2 locations, one in North Vancouver and the other in Burquitlam, and is known to have a variety of delicious pastries. They have two flavours of hot chocolate to try this year:
DAY DRINKIN’ – Pineapple and coconut-flavoured white hot chocolate. The drink comes with a pina colada meringue cookie on the side.
DOUBLE BAKED – Dark chocolate and almond hot chocolate topped with whip cream, chocolate drizzle, slivered almonds, and dusted with icing sugar (just like our double-baked croissant). This drink comes with a mini all-butter croissant on the side.
Caffe Artigiano
This café has multiple locations, which is very convenient for anyone wanting to try their flavours! They have two unique hot chocolate flavours to try this month including ‘Passionfruit dark chocolate’ and ‘Cookies and cream.’
Paul French Bakery
Paul Bakery has large, inviting windows. If you’re lucky, you might get a seat by the window, where you can enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate and ponder for a while. This café offers three hot chocolate flavours for this year’s festival, including:
D’or Hot Chocolate – Salted caramel-infused signature PAUL hot chocolate* with Baileys salted caramel liqueur, topped with French vanilla Chantilly cream and a sprinkle of gold flakes. This is served with a mini Baileys salted caramel liqueur-infused tart.
Belle Journée à Lille Hot Chocolate – Orange infused signature PAUL hot chocolate* topped with orange flavoured Chantilly cream and a candied swiss chocolate-dipped orange, served with a mini viennoiserie.
Petite PAUL Hot Chocolate – Strawberry infused signature PAUL hot chocolate* topped with strawberry flavoured Chantilly cream and a homemade smiley marshmallow, served with a mini strawberry tart.
